who is this person? |
okay, i like you. i think i'll go to sleep now! |
On Wednesday, Audrey and i had lunch with Aunt Laura for our weekly girls day. we were at the restaurant when all of a sudden Audrey lets out a huge wail. i calmed her down and apologized to the people around us. they all said they didn't mind her crying because she was so cute! whew! one of the diners actually came up to our table on his way out to tell me what i beautiful little girl i have. aw! Michael made baked ziti for dinner and we all had a great time just hanging out. On Thursday, grandma, Audrey, toby (dog), and i went on a walk and checked out the new houses they're building down the road. then, we came back to the house and just relaxed and talked until grandma had to get ready to go to a basketball game with my dad.
While we were shopping on Tuesday, we noticed that there were no outfits that said anything about great grandmas! of course there were the usual, "i love mommy," "daddy's girl," "grandma loves me," etc. but no great grandma attire (and nothing for poppas!). so on Friday, we all went to the craft store to make our very own great grandma and poppa onesies. we got iron on letters and patches, came home, and went to work. they turned out great! Audrey wore her GG shirt out to dinner with all of my family that night. Chelsea, my brother's girlfriend, also brought her aunt and grandma to family dinner. we all had a lot of fun at my grandma's favorite restaurant - Pastabilities. there was a couple with a 3 month old boy at the table next to us who was checking Audrey out the entire time we were there!! :) as hard as it was for us to keep a secret, we didn't tell my dad about his onesie until we surprised him with it the next night at dinner :)
Audrey also was a true Wolverine in her Michigan outfit that grandma got her for Christmas (Aunt Lynda and family also sent another Michigan romper but it's still a little big - the way she is growing it wont be long before she can wear it though!)
And as promised, here is the super adorable picture of Poppa and Audrey napping together that my brother took Saturday night!
and another of Poppa, Audrey, and Willbey...
i was so sad to see grandma leave, but i will always treasure our week together. family is so important.
Loved all the pictures and seeing everyone together and having fun! Audrey is so darn cute, and it is great to see her growing and changing. Hugs to all of you!
